How the online Secret Santa works

Enter the names. Type one name per line, with at least 3 participants.
Draw. The draw builds a random circle: each person gives to the next one, so nobody draws themselves.
Send the links. Each participant gets a private link by WhatsApp or anywhere else and discovers their Secret Santa target alone.

Frequently asked questions

What is Secret Santa Online?

It is a free Secret Santa (Amigo Secreto) draw generator. You enter the names, it decides who gives a gift to whom, and it creates one private link per participant.

Is Secret Santa the same as Kris Kringle or amigo invisível?

Yes. Secret Santa, Kris Kringle, amigo secreto and amigo invisível are all names for the same Christmas game: everyone draws a person to give a gift to without revealing who it is.

Are the names and results stored?

No. The site has no database: each person's result is encrypted (AES-256-GCM) inside their own link. Without the link, nobody can see the assignment.

Can someone draw themselves?

No. Participants are shuffled into a circle and each person gives to the next one, so nobody gets their own name.

How does each person find out who their Secret Santa target is?

By opening the individual link the organiser sent them. The page shows only the name of the person they must give a gift to.

How many people can take part?

From 3 to 200 participants per draw, with names up to 60 characters.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is 100% free, with no sign-up, no ads, no cookies and no cross-site tracking.

Can an AI assistant run the draw?

Yes. The site offers an MCP server at https://amigo-secreto.pt/mcp and an in-browser WebMCP tool so AI agents can generate the list and the links.
